Protect Your Privacy!

Greetings Fabulous Readers:

In line with our duty to provide you with news and current happenings, we want to make you aware of the phenomenon below.  With our society growing at an unprecedented rate technologically, privacy and the protection of personal information is increasingly important.  Please check out the information below, and continue to be conscious of the information you share.

All the best!

There's a site called Spokeo.  It's a new online USA phone book with personal information: Everything from pics you've posted on Facebook, or other places on the web, your approximate credit score, home value, income, age, etc.  This is an aggregate site, which pulls information from various web locations to compile into one.

Should you decide, upon checking the site, remove yourself by searching your name, find the URL of your page, then go to the bottom right corner of the page and click on the Privacy button.  You will get an email to confirm your removal.

Share with others!

  1. Here's another good site with opt out features to sites that have access to your information. This is scary world with all your personals out there. I've called a few of them demanding how they got my information and they said from "public records". How do we stop this???? Email me personally with suggestions!

  2. Thanks for sharing! I'm checking into some other ways to keep information from being shared. A lot of it is just being vigilant over what you share, but requests for removal must absolutely be honored. I'll share an update soon!
