Cheat One, Treat Some!

With the tax season close behind us, many are finding out what (if any) penalties they may be incurring for their dealings with Uncle Sam. Some Americans take pride in trying to "bend" the laws and policies, but things like this can catch up and some time or another. Hey, the laws are made to make most of the population conform to the mishaps of the poor-decision-making percentage; it's just the way of the world.

Recently this trait caught up with a business owner. The president and owner of House of Brides submitted fraudulent sales tax forms for at least 5 Chicagoland stores. It may have seemed like a good idea at the time, but has come full circle now. To even the score, he must donate 500 formal dresses per year for the next 3 years to the Glass Slipper Project, a nonprofit organization which provides free prom dresses to young women with limited means to purchase their own.

GSP is a wonderful organization which many companies and other organizations donate to regularly, making prom dreams reality. They take, not only dresses, but shoes and other accessories as well.

Thanks to the House of Brides, the Glass Slipper Project and many Chicagoland ladies will be full of options when it comes to prom shopping.

Looks like this punishment truly fits its crime!
