Not favorite all around, but
favorite when I feel like take out comfort Thai food. My Thai friends say it’s
more like home cooked Thai food which is why it’s their favorite.

Favorite all around Indian food
because the chef cooks things to Perfection…meat with the perfect texture.
Restaurant Sarajevo.

Meat-fest. So good!
Taqueria Santa Ria. 2752 West Lawrence Ave.
Delicious authentic tacos, really
cheap too!
Bistro Campagne. 4518 N. Lincoln.
French, lovely, expensive.

Contemporary American, love their brunch

Favorite Thai place in the city.
Their “standard” spicy is extra spicy though, so you have to specifically ask
them to tone it down.

Favorite café in our neighborhood
Pannenkoeken Café.

Dutch Pancakes, favorite before-work breakfast. Savory
pancakes!
Chicago Brauhaus.

Good German food, great polka dancing.
San Soo Gab San.
5247 N Western Ave.
Korean BBQs are all sort of the
same type of awesome deliciousness, but this one wins because they speak
English and the space is the nicest.

Best Filipino food, better than
Isla Philipina. Not fast food, not sure why it’s called that.

Prince Creperie. 4645 N Kedzie Ave.
Great crepes, but wear crappy
clothes b/c they will smell like rancid oil by the time you leave.
Baghdad Café. 3200 W Lawrence Ave.
Amazing and cheap meat-fest. Where
all the cab drivers go. Delicious lamb.
Pupuseria Restaurant Cuscatleco. 3125 W Lawrence Ave.
El Salvadorian pancakes, greasy
goodness!
AVONDALE

Urban Belly. 3053 N California Ave.
Delicious fresh ramen.
Joong Boo Market., 3333 N Kimball Ave.
Tiny little café in the grocery
store, awesome Korean food.
Kuma’s Corner. 2900 W. Belmont
ED: Worth the wait.
CY: Amazing burgers. Sit at bar to
avoid wait. Bacon mac and cheese overrated though.
Hot Doug’s. 3324 N California Ave.
Gourmet hot dogs. Worth maybe an
hour wait in the spring and fall, worth maybe 15 minute wait in the winter or
summer. You will always have to wait in a around the corner line here though.

than Svea with nicer (but not necessarily better) food.
