BESLA Honors Cheryl Boone Isaacs in Los Angeles Over 150 attorneys, law students and marketing, sports and entertainment professionals attended BESLA's Los Angeles Regional Event on August 21st at Confidential in Beverly Hills, where BESLA honored CherylBoone Isaacs, the newly elected President of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. The event featured a panel including Nicole A Bernard of 21st Century Fox, Jeff Clanagan of Codeblock Films, Nikkole Denson-Randolph of AMC Theaters, Robi Reed of BET and was led by moderator Darnell Hunt of UCLA as they addressed issues in The State of Black Hollywood. The panels were followed by a networking reception and pictures from the event can be viewed here including BESLA Board of Directors Lawrence Hinkle, II and Inga Dyer presenting Cheryl Boone Isaacs with her honorary award.
