Ready to Stare--New Lookbook and Collection!
RTS is one of our favorite jewelry lines, and watching it grow into an empowerment catalyst has been encouraging and refreshing. After launching the #ReadytoStareWokeUpLikeDis Movement, creator Alysse Dalessandro came up with a new 90s-themed collection. It's fun and nostalgic with all kinds of items reminding you of what was cool in pop culture during the era.
We know Alysse has limited free time, but she gave us a few minutes to answer some questions about the new line.

I hope that people love this collection. I hope that it brings them back to the 90s and the great women of fashion that the era brought us. I hope that people see my growth as a brand and as a designer. This is my first collection to include skirts and dresses so for me, it's a huge deal!

Here goes...
1. What inspired this collection?
This collection was truly inspired by the women of the 90s from TV and film that I looked up to as a kid. I saw these women confidently wear bold colors, patterns, excessive accessories, crop tops and miniskirts. I wanted to recreate that feeling of confidence that I saw on these women.
2. Who is your target audience?
My target audience is always confident individuals unafraid to be themselves despite what other people may think. My products are available in sizes S-4X so my products are for confident men and women of every size. I believe in making innovative fashion for all sizes not simply recreating products in plus sizes.
3. What advice would you give to an aspiring designer?
My best advice to an aspiring designer would be to love yourself first. Spend time developing your own creative voice and finding out what makes you special as an artist. After doing that, ask for help from others who are doing what you want to do. When you are confident in yourself, you won't see other artists as competitors, you will see them as potential supporters. When you believe in what you do, others will too!
