In celebration of Women’s History Month, Parks is hosting a hands-on two-hour self-defense workshop for women. An inspiring female instructor will lead women in basic survival self-defense training.  All ages are welcome at this one-day workshop.  No prior training is necessary.

Successful Brooklyn women who reside in Bedford-Stuyvesant with careers in politics, education, the arts and religion will be invited to share their recipe for success. Four women will be give the audience their background followed by a question and answer period informing the audience on how they achieved their success. Light refreshments will be served, and a local production company will be invited to perform.
