B.A.F.F.L.E.D. Music

March is "Music in Our Schools Month"

Music in our schools enriches education. It is critical to keep music and other performing arts alive and well in our educational institutions. Music programs give students a means for sharpening their talents and allow them to nurture natural creative skills. Music provides education and discipline to students--a must these days with the challenges we face in our neighborhoods.

Across the country, many organizations are focused on keeping music in our schools. Organizations like VH1 - Save the MusicMusic in Schools Today and MENC: The National Association for Music Education give ways to donate time and money to make music and other performing arts fixtures in our schools.

Some of our faves...
The Music Bloggers' Association of America provides a nurturing network for music industry bloggers, promoting services and programs for members.  Da Internz, a Chicagoland producer duo, have been doing major things lately from producing the "Dance" hit by Big Sean, as well as the buzzworthy Rihanna/Chris Brown duet--"Birthday Cake".  Check out their YouTube Channel and go "Behind the Beat"!

Please take a moment to visit these sites, and your local schools to see what you can do to help.
